Keith Fryer, a lifelong timber trader and past President of the Timber Trades Federation (TTF), and Mike Jeffree, Consultant Editor of the Timber Trades Journal (TTJ), joined forces to create Talking Timber in early 2025.

Rapidly growing in listener numbers, the podcast has continued to gain traction on a global scale, connecting hundreds of loyal and curious listeners across the world.
